After announcing that it would open on June 26, Classic Cinemas has pushed the reopening of Lake Theatre, 1022 Lake St. until July 10. Classic Cinemas sent out the following statement today:

"We're sorry to share that the Lake Theatre will no longer reopen this Friday," Classic Cinemas said in the press release.

"We've been in touch with the state to plan our reopening, but the Phase 4 guidelines that were officially released today differ from our previous discussions. Unfortunately, mandatory reserved seating was an unexpected addition. We're not yet equipped for reserved seating at the Lake Theatre, but we hope to resolve this quickly and reopen on Friday, July 10th."

The release also states that Classic Cinemas will reach out to those who have already purchased tickets for upcoming showings.

I love the Lake Theater and hope they survive the crisis. But given the behavior of customers I've seen in grocery stores and on the streets I would not count on Lake Theater patrons for sensible behavior. I hope I'm wrong.
