Manager, Oak Park pedestrian mall
Gloria Kennedy Morrissy, 90, former longtime resident of Oak Park, died on June 12, 2019. She was the former manager of the Oak Park pedestrian mall.
Gloria was the wife of the late John F. Morrissy; the mother of John, Barbara (Michael) McElherne, Michael (Lisa), Jamee (Adrian) Alperovich, and Anne Morrissy; “Gigi” to Michael, Emmet and Elizabeth (fiancé Luke Bailey) Morrissy, Molly (Daniel) McEldowney, Anne, Emma, Maggie (fiancé Justin Patino) McElherne, Agnes and Emma Alperovich and Jeanne and Barbara Morrissy; sister of Barbara (the late William) Walsh and Stephen (the late Elizabeth) Kennedy; daughter of the late Raymond and Agnes Kennedy; and the aunt of many.
Visitation was held on June 14 at Conboy-Westchester Funeral Home and on June 15, followed by a funeral Mass at St. Francis Xavier Church, with interment at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
