Cleopatra Cowley-Pendleton and Nathaniel Pendleton made an appearance on OPRF's "The Tyler Milsap Show" to talk about gun violence in Chicago and its effects on local communities.

The Pendletons lost their 15-year-old daughter Hadiya on Jan. 29 to gun violence in a park on Chicago's South Side. Her death drew national attention, as she had just marched in President Obama's inaugural parade weeks beforehand.

Also featured on the show is OPRF senior Liana Gissendanner who lost her brother, Chris Gissendanner, to gun violence on Jan. 2.
