Henry D. Bohn, 94, of Oak Park, died in his home on Nov. 21, 2010. Born on June 22, 1916 at Westside Hospital in Chicago to the late Henry A. and Margaret (nee Deist) Bohn, he graduated from Austin High School in Chicago. During WWII, he served with the U.S. Army from 1941-1945, under General Patton in North Africa and Southern Europe, and was awarded the Bronze and Silver battle stars.

For many years after the war he worked for Western Electric (later part of Lucent Technologies) and retired in 1981. A resident of Oak Park for most of his life, since 2006 he lived at the Oak Park Arms.

A private interment service with military honors was held at Mt. Emblem Cemetery in Elmhurst.
