Almost 20 percent of the senior class at Trinity High School in River Forest have been named 2005 Illinois State Scholars. Selection is based on SAT 1 and/or ACT test score results and/or a students’ class rank at the end of the junior year in high school. Trinity’s President Sister Michelle Germanson, O.P. said, “How super-proud we are of these most amazing young women. They truly put into action what the wonderful mission Trinity High School proclaims.”
Curtain up at Fenwick
The Fenwick High School Blackfriars Guild will present BANUA 2005, an all-new edition of its annual musical comedy review, on Friday, Jan. 28 and Saturday, Jan. 29 at 8 p.m. in the Fenwick auditorium, 505 Washington Blvd. The show will feature solo and group musical acts along with original comedy skits. River Oak writes again
Elmhurst College has published the December, 2004 issue of The River Oak Review, a national journal featuring works of fiction, nonfiction and poetry. Over the previous nine years, the review was published by its founding organization, River Oak Arts, in Oak Park. When River Oak Arts ceased operations, the review found a new parent organization and moved to Elmhurst College. The new issue includes the final poems written by the late Wendy Bishop.
