The Windmills 10U Travel Softball team started off the spring season by winning the Elk Grove Heat NSA “A” Tournament. The team went a perfect 5-0, scoring 45 runs and allowing only five.

Taylor Divello pitched a perfect game in pool play as well as tossed an outstanding game in the championship. Divello helped out her own cause by belting a three-run homer in the bottom of the first inning.

Angela Zedak hit a home run in the tournament and pitched shutout innings in two different games.

Great defensive plays abounded in the tournament by Windmill players, including plays by Cassie Lindmark, Mary Jones and Kaitlyn Scheitler. The Windmills have qualified for ASA, NSA and USSSA Nationals.
