For years, Cucina Paradiso has been fighting against HIV/AIDS by serving some of the most delicious classic Italian food in the area.

On April 28, when you dine at Cucina Paradiso, a portion of your bill will go to EdgeAlliance, a nonprofit group supporting those living with HIV/AIDS. Last year, EdgeAlliance received more than $100,000. This year, the organization is hoping to break that mark by raising $250,000.

With support from patrons, Cucina Paradiso has raised approximately $15,000.

“This is a worthy cause and we’re very happy to support it—and so are our customers,” said Anthony Gambino, Cucina Paradiso co-owner. “Quite a few of our regulars make a point of coming in on the designated day.”

This year, more than 80 Chicago restaurants will come together for the fight against HIV/AIDS. When you eat at a participating restaurant on April 28, a large portion of the proceeds will help EdgeAlliance continue their mission to provide affordable housing and care to those living with the illness.

David Arnold, owner of D Michael Floral Design (212 S. Marion St), will serve as an ambassador for the event at Cucina Paradiso, which was recommended in the Michelin Guide for 2011 and Zagat-rated in 2010.

Find more information and make a reservation at a participating restaurant at www.diningoutforlife.com or by calling Cucina Paradiso at 708-848-3434 (or visit www.cucinaoakpark.com).
