Locals looking to vote in the Nov. 2 general election have about a week to register to vote.
Tuesday, Oct. 5, is the last day that voters can register, according to a news release from the village Tuesday. Those interested must bring two types of identification, at least one of which includes a current address. Oak Parkers can register at both village hall, 123 Madison, or the Oak Park Township, 105 S. Oak Park Ave.
Residents can begin voting early for the November election starting on Oct. 12 and running through Oct. 28, according to the village. You do not need a reason to vote before Nov. 2, but must present a government-issued photo ID.
