The Maze Branch of the Oak Park Public Library, 845 Gunderson Ave., is reopening on Tuesday, Feb. 5, following a three-day closure due to flooding.

The library was closed Feb. 2-4, after a frozen water pipe burst and caused flooding at the library branch, library executive director David Seleb said in a telephone interview.

“Everything is safe and clean again and set to reopen,” Seleb said.

Seleb said the flooding did not damage the collection but “certainly was enough that it required extensive cleanup of the area.”

He could not immediately say how much the cleanup will cost.
