The 7-Eleven at 515 Madison St. in Oak Park was robbed at gunpoint on Aug. 7 at 2:39 a.m., police have reported.

The Oak Park Police Department reported that the offender entered the store, displayed a black semi-automatic handgun and said, “Open the register.”

The store clerk complied and the offender took an estimated $150 from the cash register. He then fled on foot in a southwest direction though the parking lot.

According to police, the offender was a black male, age unknown, standing about 5-foot-8 to 5-foot-11 with a light complexion, thin build and wearing a black scarf mask exposing his eyes, a navy blue button-down shirt, light green or khaki pants and black gym shoes with white trim on the bottom.
