A Forest Park man was carjacked at gunpoint in the 700 block of Wesley Avenue at 4 p.m. on June 25, Oak Park police are reporting.

The man was sitting in his car reading a newspaper when two men reportedly approached his 2012 Honda Accord, one of them displaying a gun.

The gunman allegedly ordered the victim to exit the vehicle and then drove off southbound on Wesley Avenue.

The other offender then entered a green or gold SUV parked nearby, where a driver was waiting, and left the scene.

According to police, victim’s vehicle was recovered at 10:45 p.m. in the 4400 block of West Gladys Avenue in Chicago.

The offenders were both described as being in their late teens.
