Kathleen Priceman, who is the fourth grade Spanish Immersion teacher at Lincoln Elementary School, has been selected as the 2014 Illinois Foreign Language Teacher of the Year by the Illinois Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ICTFL).
In its announcement regarding her selection, the ICTFL stated that “Kathleen’s enthusiasm for Early Language Learning, passion for teaching, and especially her pride in her students and their achievements, make her a wonderful representative of the profession.” Ms. Priceman will now go on to compete for the 2015 Central States Teacher of the Year, which is scheduled to be announced in March.
