Gospel Sunday February 26
A celebration in honor of Black History Month
Monday, February 20th, 2012 11:45 AM
For many years now the last weekend of February has been a time when the extended First Baptist family marks the end of Black History month with a celebration of Black Gospel Music. In the past our Gospel Fest has included artists of local, national and even international renown. We have also enjoyed the contribution of choirs from sister churches, some traveling from as far as Mississippi!
This year’s celebration will mark the occasion in our Sunday morning worship service, 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. with a number of special Gospel numbers sung and performed by members of our own church family. The pastor has even indicated that he will try to get in touch with his inner Gardner Taylor for the sermon!
We hope you will join us to experience the joy and power of Gospel music at 820 Ontario St., Oak Park, IL. www.firstbaptistchurchofoakpark.com.
